Interpretive processing

The purpose of this exercise is to take an image and make three distinctly different copies showing different creative interpretation.

The original image is of a underground train platform

Interpretation 1

DSC_1112@0-2

For this interpretation I wanted to make the scene very bright and high key, i adjusted the highlights, shadow and whites and blacks upwards and lowered the clarity and saturation a little and also lowered the temperature a little, this gave the bright almost clinical look I was looking for.

Interpretation 2

DSC_1112@0-3

For this image i wanted to give it an aged look, not necisarlily make the image look like it was a old picture, but more make it look like the station itself was older than it is and i think I managed to get that look. I adjusted the temperature and tint sliders a little, while lowering the shadows and blacks which gave something of a stained look to some of the metal areas, while increasing the whites and lowering the saturation a little.

interpretation 3

The final image i wanted to give a futuristic, sci-fi like interpretation, for this image i Dropped the temperature, but upped the tint with the combination of the blue lowering the temperature and the purple upping the tint making a deeper blue to the image. I also lowered the contrast a little along with the highlights, opened up the shadows a little and the whites, lowered the blacks and upped the clarity and vibrance
