This exercise is to demonstrate the ability to make more aggressive changes in post processing in black and white than is possible with colour images. Using two images one adjusting with a strong increase in contrast and one either a high or low key adjustment, shifting the brightness up or down the scale.
High contrast
This image was originally taken for assignment 3 of TAOP and features a market roof and a blue sky.
The high contrast adjustment in black and white, seems to give the image a dark gritty feel and features shadow clipping in parts of the image.
The colour interpretation looks a little overdone especially the tones of the sky.
High/low key
For this image I decided to use the image of the subway platform used in the interpretative processing exercise.
I decided to go for a dark, low key adjustment of this image
